30DaysOfStache ("30DaysOfStache," "the App," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by Packer Labs, LLC.
This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use 30DaysOfStache, how that information is used, and the choices you have regarding your information.
By using 30DaysOfStache, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
30DaysOfStache may allow you to use the App as a guest or sign in using supported authentication methods, including:
- Email and password
- Google Sign-In
- Sign in with Apple
- Anonymous/guest authentication
When you authenticate, we may receive and store identifiers necessary to operate your account. Depending on the sign-in provider you choose, this may include your email address, account identifier, and basic account information provided by that service.
Guest accounts are assigned an anonymous identifier through Firebase Authentication.
Photos
The primary purpose of 30DaysOfStache is to let you photograph and track your facial-hair growth.
When you take a photo through the App:
- A copy may be stored locally on your device.
- A copy is uploaded to cloud storage associated with your account.
- Information about the photo, such as the challenge day and date captured, may be stored with your challenge data.
30DaysOfStache does not use your photos for facial recognition, identity verification, biometric identification, or training artificial intelligence models.
We do not sell your photos.
Challenge and Usage Data
We may store information necessary to provide the 30-day challenge, including:
- Challenge start and end dates
- Challenge progress
- Daily photo entries
- Capture dates
- Current and longest streaks
- Account and challenge identifiers
The App uses this information to display your progress, comparisons, and timelapse.
Device and Advertising Information
30DaysOfStache uses Google AdMob to display advertising.
AdMob and related Google services may collect information such as:
- Device identifiers
- Advertising identifiers
- IP address
- General device information
- App interactions
- Advertising interaction data
The exact information processed by Google may depend on your device, privacy settings, geographic region, and consent choices.
Where required by law, advertising consent or privacy choices will be presented before information is used for personalized advertising.
2. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Create and maintain your account
- Provide the 30-day challenge
- Save and synchronize daily photos
- Restore your progress across supported sessions or devices
- Generate comparisons and timelapses
- Maintain streak and challenge information
- Authenticate users
- Provide advertising
- Maintain security and prevent abuse
- Diagnose technical problems
- Improve the reliability of the App
- Respond to support and privacy requests
We do not sell personal information.
3. Photos and Timelapses
Your photos remain your content.
30DaysOfStache requires permission to process and store your photos solely to provide features such as:
- Daily progress tracking
- Previous-photo alignment
- Journey history
- Before-and-after comparisons
- Timelapse generation
- Saving and sharing exports
Timelapses are generated on your device from your challenge photos. The App may download previously uploaded photos to your device when necessary to generate or display your progress.
When you choose to share a photo, comparison, or timelapse, sharing is performed using your device's native sharing functionality. The privacy practices of the service you choose to share with are governed by that service.
4. Local Storage and Cloud Storage
Photos may be retained locally on your device to improve performance and reduce unnecessary network usage.
Cloud-hosted challenge information is stored using Google Firebase services, including:
- Firebase Authentication
- Cloud Firestore
- Firebase Storage
30DaysOfStache currently uses user-scoped access controls intended to prevent one account from accessing another user's private challenge data.
5. Third-Party Services
30DaysOfStache uses services provided by third parties, including:
Google Firebase Used for authentication, cloud database functionality, and photo storage.
Google AdMob Used to display advertising.
Google Sign-In Used when you choose to authenticate using a Google account.
Sign in with Apple Used when you choose to authenticate using an Apple account.
These providers may process information according to their own privacy policies.
We expect third-party service providers processing user information on our behalf to provide appropriate protections for that information.
6. Advertising and Consent
30DaysOfStache is supported in part by advertising.
Advertising is designed to avoid interfering with core photo capture functionality. The current advertising implementation places an advertisement within the Journey experience rather than during camera capture or saving.
For users in jurisdictions where consent is required for advertising technologies, we use or will use appropriate consent mechanisms before requesting personalized advertising where required.
Users may be offered privacy controls allowing them to review or change applicable advertising consent choices.
7. Data Retention
We retain account and challenge information for as long as your account remains active or as reasonably necessary to provide the App.
When you delete your account, we will delete or initiate deletion of personal data associated with that account, including:
- Account information maintained by 30DaysOfStache
- Challenge records
- Daily-entry records
- Photos stored in Firebase Storage
Copies remaining in temporary caches, backups, or technical logs may persist for a limited period before being automatically removed.
Information may be retained longer where reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud or abuse, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements.
8. Account and Data Deletion
You may request deletion of your 30DaysOfStache account and associated data.

You may also initiate deletion through the account settings within the App once that functionality is available.

Deleting the App from your device does not by itself delete cloud-hosted account data.
9. Your Privacy Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights relating to your personal information, including the ability to request:
- Access
- Correction
- Deletion
- Information about processing
- Withdrawal of consent where processing relies on consent

10. Camera and Photo Permissions
30DaysOfStache requests access to your camera because taking daily photos is a core feature of the App.
The App may also request permission to save generated images or videos to your photo library or gallery.
You may manage these permissions through your device settings.
11. Children's Privacy
30DaysOfStache is not directed to children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the App, contact us at support@30daysofstache.com so that we can review and delete the information as appropriate.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information processed through the App.
However, no electronic storage, transmission, or information system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
13. International Users
Information may be processed or stored in countries other than the country where you reside, including through third-party cloud service providers.
Where applicable, we take reasonable steps to process information consistent with applicable privacy requirements.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the App evolves.
When material changes are made, we will update the effective date above and may provide additional notice where appropriate.
